Clarity over guesswork
Ultrasound lets us look inside in real time. When you can see the problem, the plan makes sense — and so does the progress.
ENIGMA combines doctor-level physical therapy with musculoskeletal ultrasound to find the real source of pain and get active people back to doing what they love.

I'm a Doctor of Physical Therapy who blends hands-on care with musculoskeletal ultrasound to find the real source of pain — then builds the strength to keep it gone. I work with all kinds of active people, from fighters and lifters to anyone simply tired of living with nagging pain.

My passion for physical therapy is personal. At 12, a bone infection (osteomyelitis) in my hip left me with a bad limp and chronic low back pain. I tried it all — chiropractic, acupuncture, pain pills, even "standard" PT — with little relief, and figured I'd just have to live with it.
Then I started strength training, and within weeks my "permanent" back pain was gone. Seeing firsthand how the right exercise could undo pain set my course: I would become a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
I earned my Bachelor's in Clinical Movement Science (Kinesiology) and my Doctor of Physical Therapy — both at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities — while training as a weightlifter, performing as a professional break dancer (b-boy) for the Minnesota Timberwolves, and earning my black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu along the way. Since then I've practiced in concierge and cash-based settings and added certification in dry needling and a post-doctoral Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Ultrasonography.
Off the clock, I'm a BJJ black belt training at Mark 44 and Stronghold Jiu-Jitsu in Glencoe, and I spend my time traveling and with my family — my wife, two kids, and a granddaughter.

One patient at a time. You get the whole appointment with your doctor — never handed off to an aide or a piece of equipment.
Pain relief is the start. Real success is leaving stronger, more capable, and confident in your body again.

Earning the RMSK means demonstrating advanced, tested competency in musculoskeletal ultrasound — the same standard used by sports-medicine physicians. I've also completed a Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Ultrasonography through the AAMT — mentored, advanced training that very few physical therapists pursue.
In practice, that means we can watch how a tendon glides, how a muscle contracts, and how a joint behaves while you move — and use that information to guide hands-on treatment, place a needle with precision, and confirm you're truly healing.
ENIGMA is located within Mark 44 Martial Arts Academy — a fitting home for a practice built around movement, sport, and getting back to training. Whether you roll, strike, lift, or run, you'll be treated by someone who understands the demands you put on your body.
